Free Food
Free produce is available at Moab Valley Multicultural Center (156 N 100 W) and the Free Health Clinic from 9-5, M-F during growing season.
There is a free farmer’s market at Our Village Farm (721 N 500 W) at 6:00 pm on Thursday evenings through the end of October. Arrive early to get a good spot in line.
The Episcopal Church (250 Kane Creek Blvd) provides free lunch on Thursday and free dinner on Friday. There is usually free produce and pantry items to take home as well.
The Grand County Food Bank (56 N 200 E) is open 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
The Youth Garden Project (530 400 E) has a nibble garden (across the bike path from the rest of the farm) where anyone can harvest produce.
Free Camping Gear
If you’re camping out of necessity, Moab Valley Multicultural Center (see address and hours above) has free tents and camping gear.
Cheap Showers
The Moab Tourism Council keeps a list of (paid) places to take a shower
Housing Support
Moabhousing.com includes a list of affordable rental listings currently available, as well as information about how to apply for income-restricted housing in town, section 8 vouchers (rental assistance), and utility payment assistance
MVMC offers support filling out affordable housing/section 8 forms. Stop by during weekday hours.
Tool Library
The Moab Tool Library is also housed at MVMC. Ask inside for instructions and the code to the shed.
