About

Solidarity in Moab,.. and beyond!

Moab Mutual Aid a grassroots group of Moab residents working to build more power and cooperation among the working class.

Our Story

We began as Moab Action for Palestine in the spring of 2024, organizing protests, fundraisers, and community events in solidarity with Gaza. As our work expanded to include local mutual aid we rebranded to better reflect the broader scope of what we do. Our roots remain in solidarity and direct action, and we continue to support Palestinian liberation as part of a wider commitment to justice, care, and collective survival.

Supporting Palestinian liberation is foundational to the work we do here. The same systems that displace and brutalize innocent people in Gaza are at work everywhere: the hoarding of land and resources, the criminalization of survival, the crushing of collective power in service of empire and capital. A conversation after a screening of Gaza Fights for Freedom turned into our first book club meeting, and from there our group grew into a collective political education project where we read and discussed books that taught us about the history and current reality of capitalism and imperialism. In January 2025, we decided it was time to begin taking action locally, and Moab Mutual Aid became what it is today.

When we build gardens, share meals, organize labor, or make art together, we practice solidarity and reject systems of oppression. We stand with Palestine because we know none of us are free until all of us are.
